So remember how I was supposed to do hot yoga on Sunday evening?
Yeah, didn’t happen.
I’m convinced hangovers are contagious because I felt like crap the entire day, even though I didn’t drink much on Saturday night. I think I would’ve passed out had I gone to hot yoga, so I cancelled my class and went shopping with my sister instead. Even that required Herculean effort on my part.

I spent the rest of the evening prepping food for the week so at least I was somewhat productive. I ended up going to bed at 8:30 and felt completely restored this morning – whoever said you can’t catch up on lost sleep has obviously never successfully fallen asleep at 8:30 and slept through the entire night.
This morning, I went to a BodyPump class before work. Based on the fact that I enjoyed the class even at 6:00 a.m., I think I’m really going to like BodyPump 81.
In other news, my 30-day pass at Power Yoga Canada expires tomorrow so naturally I found another “Introductory Special” to take advantage of, this time at Some Like It Hot. I’ve done a few drop-in classes at this studio and I like that they offer both heated and non-heated yoga, plus a variety of classes at different levels. I liked PYC but most of the classes are heated, power yoga classes. Sometimes, I just don’t have the energy to do power yoga, especially with all of the GoodLife classes I do during the week. As a result, I didn’t get as much out of my 30-day pass as I could have. I’m hoping with my SILH pass, I’ll be able to get in more yoga classes than I did last month.
Tonight, I’m trying a class called Candlelight Restorative at SLIH, described as:
An amazing way to chill and completely relax. This gentle practice is perfect for everyone. Postures are supported; using very little muscle. Props, such as bolsters, blankets, straps and eye pillows (all provided) are used for your comfort. Peaceful music and candlelight allows your body & mind to rest, renew and relax and attune to the wisdom in your body.
Blankets, straps and candlelight? I figure this could either be really relaxing or really creepy… stay tuned!
Are you able to catch up on sleep after a late night? How long does it take you to “reset”?

I really dig how you go to all the free trial classes. That’s the best way to do it!
HA, I just left a comment on your previous post about how extreme tiredness can feel like a hangover! Nothing like an early to make up for it. I reckon you can make up for it, if you nip it in the bud. I take valerian if I’m having trouble getting a good night’s sleep. It’s pretty good for a natural sleeping aid.
I really wish I had more yoga options like you do! Sounds like you have quite a few places to choose from. When I need to catch up, I usually need two days of 10+ hours of sleep. Sometimes, I swear I’m actually 80 years old…
Haha I actually do fairly well on very little sleep, but it seems like NEXT day is when I really feel it!
I don’t think I could ever work out of 6:00 a.m…. ever.
