I love long weekends. The past two days have been really relaxing, which is just what I needed. On Saturday, I got my grocery shopping out of the way nice and early, then went to a hatha yoga class followed by BodyAttack. After lunch, Josh and I went to the lake and read for a few hours… us and all of the other 65+ year old couples in my city.

We then grabbed coffee and window shopped for a bit, went out for dinner (pics to be posted on Wednesday) and caught up on Game of Thrones.
Yesterday was also really chill. I did RPM 51 in the morning, which is a fun release but I don’t remember it being so hard. I was panting like a mofo after every track.
After the gym, I got myself cleaned up, grabbed a sandwich from SUBWAY and went to my sister’s to babysit.

While this guy was napping, I took advantage of the fact that my sister and her husband have HBO on demand and watched every episode of Girls (well, he woke up around the third episode but we watched the remaining episodes together – I hope he’s not too corrupted by the experience). I love this show although I want to smack every single character upside the head for being so stupid (although I guess that’s what makes the show so fun to watch).
In exchange for babysitting, my sister fed me, which is a pretty good trade off. We had barbecued chicken, quinoa salad and these amazing strawberry and mascarpone cheese tarts that my sister is legendary for.

So in a nutshell, my long weekend involved – gym, reading, HBO, good food and good company.
Today is another gorgeous day and I’m not sure yet how I’m going to spend it. I’m doing hot yoga at 9:30 and I think I’m meeting up with Josh later, but beyond that, no idea.
For those of you who have today off, enjoy your holiday Monday! And for everyone else, have a wonderful run of the mill Monday
What’s the last new TV show you became addicted to?

I love Body Attack!! But I don’t think I could handle it AFTER yoga, haha.
Hmm latest TV Show addiction… probably Shark Tank!!
Haha, trust me it, it was an EASY yoga class… one of those ones where you chill in pigeon pose for 5 minutes then switch legs. I could never do Attack after a power yoga class or any other challenging activity. This was more like an hour of stretching to get me prepped for Attack.
Hahaha oh, those Yoga classes sometimes drive me crazy! I feel like I’m just sitting there!!! I’d be ready for Body Attack too!!
Love the photos of you and Josh & you and your nephew! Do you dye your hair or is it naturally that gorgeous colour?
I haven’t seen Girls and unfortunately won’t be as I no longer have cable. There’s always good old iTunes I guess!
It’s not a new tv show but I have become addicted to Real Housewives. Have watched the first two seasons of NY and the first of Atlanta. Have ordered more DVDs online! Help!
Thanks, you are too sweet… that is mostly my natural hair colour, give or take a few highlights that I had done ages ago!
Reality shows are the most dangerous when it comes to getting addicted.
just found your blog!
You are now in my google reader <3 I've heard great things about you
Aww, thanks! I love your blog too (I just suck at commenting :/) and it’s always exciting when someone whose blog I read regularly stops by (especially a fellow Canadian!!
)
