I’m taking the morning off on account of my injured glute and I’m bored out of my mind. What the heck do non-exercisers do on Saturday mornings? It’s 9:30 and I’ve already had breakfast, browsed through my favourite blogs, showered and started reading a new book. This blows but I know I did the right thing by resting this morning. The pain has subsided a lot since yesterday so I’m hoping I’ll be fully recovered by tomorrow, especially since there’s a new release class for RPM 51 at my gym tomorrow morning.
Last night, Josh and I went out for dinner and a movie. We decided to keep it simple this weekend since we went to some fancier places last weekend, plus we’re going to a wedding on Sunday. For dinner, we went to Lemongrass, a Thai and Vietnamese restaurant. I opted for a trio of appetizers – chicken satay skewers with peanut sauce, mango salad and cold shrimp rolls (with peanut sauce… obviously):

Perfect meal for a ridiculously hot day. After dinner, we watched Horrible Bosses.

I remember seeing the trailer for this and not being particularly interested in watching it. Then it came out and started getting decent reviews so we decided to check it out.
And what do you know, it was actually really, really funny… one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a long time actually. Several parts had me laughing out loud, which might not sound like a ringing endorsement, but I rarely laugh during movies. I often find movies amusing but rarely do they make me laugh uncontrollably… this one did, so for that reason alone it gets two thumbs up.
There are also some great performances (I <3 Jason Bateman), the plot is decent and moves along nicely and there’s lots of random, off the wall humour, which I love. I would definitely watch it again.
Okay, only two more hours until lunch time. I guess I’ll get back to my book?
